Motive
Recently, due to the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, I think that para-sports has been featured on TV more than ever before. I think more and more people have become interested in para-sports after seeing the powerful athletes on TV, but I still feel that it is difficult to feel familiar with them.
We learned that a junior member of our club uses a wheelchair and plays wheelchair tennis, and this sparked our interest in para-sports.
When I looked around, I realized that society is made up of many different people and that even the stations I use every day are not barrier-free, even though they are designed to be so. I think that by using para-sports as an opportunity, we will be able to share our perspective with people with disabilities and look at our surroundings regularly. I felt that there are many people with different (personalities and backgrounds) at the Paralympics.
Therefore, we decided to focus on para-sports and create a website that would help people, especially those in our age group, to learn more about para-sports through questionnaires and interviews, and to think about the society in which we live various people.
